BOARD MEMBER NOTICE
The Board of Directors convened a meeting held Wednesday 15th April to discuss the members request for the resumption of competition golf. The decision was made to act in the affirmative & resume competition golf effect Saturday 18th April 2020. Social golf will continue to be played.
All golf will be subject to the government social distancing and numbers in a gathering regulations and will be strictly enforced with suspension of membership for three (3) months with no recompense of paid membership for any member who breaches these restrictions & rules.
In addition to these regulations, the current restrictions in place relating to group numbers walking, number in a motorised cart, rakes in bunkers, green cups, gathering after play, marking of cards & clubhouse access will remain. The Board have considered also the question of players over 70 years & have agreed that while the safeguards are in place the decision to play lies with the individual.
The government legislation has made clear the restrictions & has considerable fines in place for any breach by the Club. Members/players are encouraged to present & play golf within these limits.
